| Amber Inclusion/ Leafhopper |
 |
| |
These are small and very active insects belonging to the insect Family Cicadellidae. They are slender, jumping, wedge-shaped insects measuring to about one-eighth to one-half inch long in body length. These insects feed on plant leaves, sucking juices and injecting harmful chemicals as they feed using their piercing-sucking mouthparts. The toxin that they inject discolors most plant leaves leaving them brittle and curled. The damage they give to plants is called “hopper burn”. Hopper burns will weaken a plant and may cause their death. |
